Didn't S.A.M. feed off negative emotional energy? And aren't such vibes the 'essence' of the Void?
I'm thinking of a noncanon story where Surfer beat Mangog -- not with raw power -- but by being so noble of soul, all that positive touchy-feely energy literally diminished Mangog's ability to exist.
I would think Void would have the opposite effect: empowering Mangog until the Void winks out.
