Absorbing Man vs. Firestorm

Creel gets high intelligence for this one

Firestorm should take this fight with ease, he has understanding of Creel abilities and could fight from safe distance or breakdown whatever Creel absorbed.

Surprisingly enough, the only real way I see FS winning is if he let AM grab him. Why? Because the Matrix (where Firestorm's power comes from) contains infinite energy. Thus AM could potentially overload himself.

Other then that..?

He could transmute AM into air.

Absorbing Man strikes me as *more* easy for Firestorm to beat than a normal villain. He turns himself into stuff that can be transmuted!

So Firestorm should have a pretty easy time of it.

Wait... Earth X saga, maybe?

Yeah, Earth X AM was definitely more intelligent than his 616 counterpart.

That being said, there's also a power discrepancy there as well.

i think this is an awesome fight...but jeeze im not sure...firestorm could transform the floor into lava but creel could turn into lava....soo i guess who ever tires out first loses...

Granted, but there's a difference between AM absorbing something of his own volition by touching it, and having FS directly transmute him into air (which Thor has done to defeat him a couple times, iirc).

I don't see how greater intelligence would help in that respect, but that's just me.

And like I said before, EX Creel had abilities that 616 Creel does not have, so it's more than just a difference in intellect.

firestorm could transform AM into a drug and sell it to people...causing them to gain temporary powers............whistling
