Monopoly the movie....

In November 2008, Ridley Scott was announced to direct Universal Pictures' film version of the game, based on a script written by Pamela Pettler. The film will be co-produced by Hasbro's Brian Goldner, as part of a deal with Hasbro to develop movies based on the company's line of toys. The story is being developed by author Frank Beddor.

This is more retarded than the idea of making a movie about guitar hero which was thankfully rejected, I like Ridley Scott but seriously glare

whoa.

I can tell you're excited about this one sly

Nah, I will not pass go, I will not collect 200 dollars.

No ones getting 200 from this

This is probably a very bad idea but i'm sure at the very least...,watching the movie will be more entertaining than playing the actual board game.

Clue didn't work out that bad.

But this one will be shit.

Well the way I see it:

It's being directed by Ridley Scott

Given that it only has to be business themed and implement some of the distinguishing features of the game (names, mirror the structure of the game with that of the plot (tax, jail, the luck/expertise based nature of the business world)) to appropriately adapt the feel of the game to the movie, there is a lot of freedom as far what story can be made to fit those elements.

So it could be good.

If they make it kind of like Wall Street it could go good
