They were pretty even.

I think Skaar has the ability to just beat the hell out of Ares but his own cis makes him more likely to fight like a hulked out Conan giving ares a good chance at winning.

And the fact that Skaar tends to ignore the other half of his powerset and sticks to sword fighting alot which is a good thing for Ares.
