You got that right. Wanted, Authority's best run ever, Red Son, Kickass and what little good came out of the ultimate universe. Millar is a champ.
Meh, the Authority run was crude. Everyone became smug and annoying, and Quitely's art actually made it worse. Apollo was written way out of character, and Jack became a damn douchebag. It would have been so much better if they bothered to actually show what happened between Jenny's death and the whole gung-ho rendition.
And Shen slept with Grunge for...some reason. 🤨
Ellis' run was the best ever, and DnA's stuff with World's End a close second.
When he reigned it in, he produced good stuff for his Ultimates run.

We'll agree to disagree, but for a comic book about 'changing the world' - ellis initial proposal for authority - they were rather tamed and harmless to the status quo. Millar saw what that phrase actually implied, his authority took on the powers that really be, instead of just fighting off alien invasions and dicking arround a space station. the following run by azarello, another favourite of mine, was also good. Character development was good for most of them I think, although some wer awkward. But in general they would have made jenny, specially as portrayed in her origins, proud.
