STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Slayer

Nonetheless, Galder keeps the sniper rifle on hand. He expects trouble. Does he sense anything?

"Playing by the rules, driver?" Galder asks, mostly just to be snarky.

"Better not to be noticed for my daredevil rush hour dodging," the pilot comments coldly, glancing at the speeders around and driving defensively. "Right? Or should I make myself painfully obvious?"

Galder doesn't respond and fiddles with the sniper rifle some.

"How good are you with that thing?" Galder asks Kuylen about the blaster at his side.

Kuylen smiles faintly.

"Decent enough," Kuylen says.

"How decent?" Galder pries.

"Hopefully you will never find out," Kuylen says.

Something catches your eye, Galder- having finally passed your Observation rolls as they've gotten easier. One speeder seems to be keeping pace with you, only it's hanging back... odd.

Galder spots the speeder, then takes the scope off of his rifle so he can see who is driving the speeder.

After that, he'll try to see if he can spot any other danger.

Rodians, Galder. One driving, three readying blasters. No sign of other speeders yet. You sense mounting danger.

"We've got company," Galder alerts his ward and their driver. "Rodians, keeping pace."

Galder puts the scope back on the rifle and prepares to take aim if they come any closer.

They are coming closer.

Galder will shoot the driver of that speeder.

Pew! Galder takes his shot on ten dice. Three successes and the bolt strikes the window of the speeder. Much to your displeasure, the speeder is armored and reflective- two points of cover to all within. The driver is a Supermook and he only takes 4 damage.

The Rodians start closing in... but your driver is not speeding up.

Galder will take another shot and shout to the driver.

"Why aren't you flying faster?!" Galder shouts.

"We're boxed in!" the Twi'lek pilot shouts back. Three other speeders have come swooping in, all bearing Rodians with blasters.

Galder sighs.

"Looks like we're fighting our way out of the box," Galder says, cocking the charger on his rifle.

CC DW PA, please.

It becomes a chase then.

Galder is taking potshots with his sniper rifle from the back of the speeder while Kuylen has pulled out that revolver-like gun he strapped on. The Pilot is trying his best to break out of the formation but he will need help; he has a gun too but is focusing on his driving.

All speeders afford a point of cover and are driving dangerously close to your speeder in order to keep it locked in while the Rodians try to fire into yours.

Just a point of cover or was it two like earlier?

Galder is going to shoot at the Rodians in the speeder to the rear, blasting into the windshield before they can fire back.

It is two if you are firing straight on at the vehicle- the reflective windshields being the problem. Are you keeping your action?

Nah. Galder pulls his attention away from them to line up a shot to take out both of the Rodians in the back seat of the speeder to their right.

Initiative goes to you at 2-1.

Your driver is driving straight to give you clear shots.

Galder lines up his shot. The first Rodian absorbs the blast and dies; only one kill there.

Kuylen picks up where you left off with the driver. He turns around and times his shot. The bolt blows off one of the speeder's mirrors and the driver swerves to reduce the damage he takes.

Now, the Rodians!

The ones behind don't fire this turn; with the driver swerving, they won't hit. That leaves eight shooters pouring blasterfire into your speeder. The pilot has the least shooters but takes the worst; Galder is unscathed. Bolts riddle the outside of the speeder and one flashes on the dash.
