I agree with you when i think of SW the first thing that comes into my head is Luke Skywalker and Leia .

The PT is not that bad but i want to see the extres to 30 hours of them !! see what Lucus has done to us ??

Sorry the first thing that comes to mind when I think of star wars is vader or maul or the sith and Jedi. 🙂 I liked all 6 movies they were highly enjoyable!
But 5 is the best, next for me cause I really enjoyed the pod race and mauls character and cause I met ray park is episode 1. Then 3 then 4 and 2 and 6.

The biggest crime here would be if any of that 30+ hours is just recycled documentaries and featurettes we have already seen on previous releases.

The extras are the biggest selling point for me - three discs of never seen before stuff is what I am hoping for... heavy on the archive footage and deleted scenes.
That seems to be what they are promising, but until we get a full breakdown of the extras I am not going to let myself get too excited.

I would love lots of archive and deleted scenes. Most particular I'd like to see the wampa attack on the rebel base. But I doubt we ever get to see that. Lucas seems to be a guy who doesn't like to show where they failed. Apparantly the wampa's were terrible... But I think that's why it's so interesting.

I wouldn't wind if they put all the old documentaries back, not the ones from the DVD's from the last few years. No I mean the old Making Ofs that came out on VHS in the 80's...

But again, I doubt it.

So after this I hope Lucas will release a blu ray of the Holiday Special! 😉

I have a funny feeling that the deleted scene that was shown last year is gonna be put back in ROTJ

That wouldn't surprise me - because it was cut so late, it was scored, which is unusual for a deleted scene, and a decent print must have existed... so it might acceptably slot into the movie.

From what I have read, at lot of the more famous deleted scenes were ditched earlier on and only very rough prints, often black and white and without audio, exist.
How the deleted scenes are handled depends on how much work LFL has been willing to put in.
I mean, they pulled out that alternate take of Alec's dialogue from ANH out of the bag for the ROTS trailer, I don't see why the same thing couldn't be done for other unseen footage.

I'd rather any the deleted scenes were there as extras only - not added into the actual movies.
And I'd rather see as much footage as possible - however rough - above just a handful of immaculately restored cut scenes...

Alternate tak of Alec's dialogue from ANH? in ROTS trailer what are you talking about?

Also this is blu-ray wouldn't it be cool if they finished the deleted scenes and gave you the option to select which ones you want to see and incorporate them into the movie if you wish (but only the ones you selected) obviously lucas would have to probably predetermine where they go but then you would have the option of having them in the movie. and for ANH allow you to pick if han shoots first or not! that would be good hit play movie and the next line pops up and says han shoots first yes or no.

And Han should always shoot first.

I was ready to buy this, and then i heard they weren't putting the theatrical cuts on the discs. I don't care if they're even remastered a little; i just wanted to see them on the discs.

plus, remasterd ot sabers look like crap to me most of the time.

They do. I just wtached the trailer. there's a very quick shot of the lightsabre fight between Luke and Vader from ROTS. I freezed it and yes, there it still was: Darth Vader's pink lightsabre...

I wouldn't want that crap either, but the smaller little clips like yoda landing on dagohba or an extra 10 seconds of maul, obi and quigon would be cool.
but if it could give you the option to pick what deleted scenes you wanted to put in then you could choose what to see.
that would be cool too.

Well, a nice menu of deleted scenes will do fine.
