The fact that Holmes couldn't put Dredger down shows how overrated Holmes is. Balboa would bust Dredgers shit up. The Pikey would break Dredgers neck with one punch.

Holmes wasn't known for his strength was he? And he didn't try to use his mind to take down Dredger, that was the whole point of the scene.

Balboa doesn't beat dredger. His usual method of letting the crap get beaten out of him first KILLS him in this instance.

This version, Rocky 3, is all offense. He'll KO Dredger in a round or two.

From what we saw onscreen, Dredger doesn't actually seem to get hurt by physical beating. He appears immune to it. (gets hit with a hammer and doesn't leave a mark.) He can only be chocked into submission. from behind.

Dredger did not seem immune to pain, he just had major damage soak.

which is really the main thing balboa was good at.
