Well at least this way the movie will be a financial success. I already see it - hundreds of thousands fangirls screaming near the cinemas... Now hire Justin Bieber as Elektra and its a hit.

Are you ****ing shitting me? Jason Statham as DD.

While it's great to adapt something like the 'Born Again' storyline, it would be difficult to do it without any context of a previous film. Are they going to ignore the first film, or keep a loose continuity with it?

With a story like Born Again and a character like Daredevil, I would want excellent acting chops all around. If I were a director, I would put scruples and morals aside and poach as many people from Christopher Nolan as possible. My personal favorite portrayal of the Kingpin was by Roscoe Lee Browne. Problem is, he's small, black, old, and dead so unless the film makers have $300 million for CGI, a shovel, some smelling salts, and a necromancer, that isn't gonna happen. John Goodman is the only guy that big with the acting chops that I can think of. If he makes any kind of appearance in this or future movies, the more I think of it, Ralph Fiennes is the only actor who should play Bullseye. The only parts I can think of that can afford to have substandard actors are Nuke, Nurse Lois, and the psychopath Daredevil impersonator.

I don't see Statham as Daredevil at all. Now, Wolverine...

Actually, I thought Affleck wasn't bad.

That's always the problem; getting the film company to give up and give it back. [/B]
This is what I want to happen to all Marvel Properties... I want them back under a Studio who has shown they can make good movies..

Let Statham play Joseph Chapman/Union Jack in a future Captain America sequel and be done with him

Wow...it's been a whole year since the last post...and Marvel Studios is just two months away from being able to reacquire Daredevil's film rights! Latest talks & pitch by Joe Carnahan has 'gone up in smoke.' 👆

No offense against Joe Carnahan, but I would really like Daredevil to get under the wings of Marvel Studios, so please: no one get a film started by Oct. 10. OK?

My concern, seeing that I'd like to see a Daredevil movie in the coming years, is that I'm not sure how Daredevil would fit into the slate of movies considering Marvel's big picture plans. The reality is Marvel doesn't have the resources to make more than two, maybe three, block buster superhero movies a year. So unless Marvel stops doing sequels - which they won't - they simply can't make a movie for every character they have, and I fear that a character like DD would just end up sitting on a shelf, next to Punisher and Blade who's movie rights Marvel has had for almost two years now, and Marvel would do nothing with them.

why don't they have the resources?

Punisher is being looked at for TV instead of movies, which I think is a good move. But if they did do him for movies again, having Daredevil in the fold allows them to do a future Marvel Knights type film, with Luke Cage & Iron Fist as well. They are planning to diversify, going cosmic with Guardians Of The galaxy in two years. So they could also go street level as well.

I wish they would scrap the movie reboot idea and do a Daredevil tv series.

it would be awesome if they did a "television universe" with DD, Blade, Punisher and Heroes for Hire all having their own individual shows, but existing in the same universe.

that could work, but for Punisher he would be better for hbo or starz

Probably, but i think it could work on FX; they get away with a lot on that network.

The Punisher tv show fell through last pilot season, roughrider. Thank god, the pitch was terrible. He was like a Miami cop who was a vigilante by night or some such garbage. They aren't actively perusing a Punisher tv show right now, Del Toro's Hulk and whatever Whedon is contracted for are the two Marvel shows in development right now.

Still Marvel already has the TV rights to Daredevil, FOX only has the movie rights. Marvel could have made a DD TV show any time over the last decade if they were so inclined. The have the Spider-man tv rights too.

Starz? Yuck. FX? Yum.

Bring back Affleck!
