R.I.P. Frank Frazetta

A true legend dies... very sad.

Anybody who grew up a fan of comics and fantasy art knows what a influential artist this man was.

I did and have no idea who this guy is.

yeah same here ermm

not really 🙁

Like I said, you kinda have to be a fantasy/horror art fan to know the name. The man was seriously a genius.

I made this thread because I've seen so many R.I.P. threads for people who were merely mediocre in their respective arts. If those guys get their own threads, Frazetta should get his.

I know, like 90% of KMC could give two shits.Kinda reminds me of when Jack King Kirby died . Comic book artists get no respect...

I have a whole lot of his work.... truly an artist.. may he rest in peace

R.I.P. Frank Frazetta 🙁

R.I.P. Frank.

I appreciate your contributions.

This is a sad day, but hey, he lived long and well.

I liked his style of art. I read the Gath of Ball: Death Dealer novels back in the day, which Frank did the artwork for.

Huh, I recognize his art but I've never heard of him.

aftert wiki-ing him, turns out I'm probably most familiar with Playboy cartoons he did in the 60s...

I've seen a ton of his stuff, and also read the Death Dealer books, which is probably his most famous artwork. And as someone who frequents the comic scene (both regular shops and conventions and such), his influence is unfathomably huge in the industry.

Thanks for this, I hadn't heard that he died.

One of my favourite artists, very inspirational work a true master imo.

RIP 🙁
