He did the first cover for Marvel's Epic Illustrated back in 1980, which I have.

Good people pass away but shit people like Pak, Joe Q and Loeb cant even get fired from comics.

I was considering posting the news in the comics thread, but to be honest Frazetta's work transcended the comic realm, IMO.

People are usually shocked to find out he didn't write the Death Dealer books (which are excellent in their own right), just illustrated them. But such was his popularity, and rightly deserved.
