Agreed. Even though IMO England started the second half better, they just gave up after a bit. Had it been 2-2 like it should have been, they would have fought for longer.
The offside incident was horrendous. facepalm2 How that linesman did not see Tevez being offside is beyond me.Match-changing incidents deserve the usage instant replay for justification. Then we wouldn't have incidents like Fabiano's goal counting against Ivory Coast (where he handled the ball twice), or Kaka being sent off for no fault of his in the same game.
Instant replay won't even slow down the game by much anyway. The game is already slowed down every time some one is injured.

Excellent point, although in the qualifying they were good but after the first game against the USA and at the latest the Algerian game it was plainly obvious that there was as a spanner in the works. The stuffing by an offensive Germany was to be expected.
The way it happened was amateur level football ! all the defenders ran to the man on the ball and left two players left and right free to stop the ball, pick their shot and strike it into the net. The first goal was the worst, where were the defenders?

Doesn't really matter though. I'm hoping the Dutch can win against Brazil. They're known for being able to play better against teams that actually want to play football, in contrast to the teams they've faced in their earlier matches this WC. The ref and both assistants didn't see it happen, none of the other players saw it happen, the only ones on the pitch who knew about it were them two and probably some people on the bench.
The ref sent him off after he saw it happen on screens on the stadium, and that's all we really need, video technology so we can see shit like this.

It's the first time I've heard that story. Makes sense though, you'd figure that all official's eyes would be fixed on the area the ball was in.

The ball was no where need the incident, no one saw the headbutt until it was relayed on the big screen. The assistant referee saw the relplay and called the referee over.
This was probably the first card or event decided on due to a video replay.
FIFA obviously deny it, but I remember seeing the game live on TV and the commentators saying the red card was given after the replay.
This Japan v Paraguay game is boring, friggin hell!!
