A few questions for some SW experts!!

Why are the clones being made? To help who, do what? For the republic or the dark side?

-In the "clone wars" who fights who, is it the Jedi vs the clones, or do the clones and the Jedifight some other common enemy?

-are the clones the pre-stormtroopers?

-Do you think that once the esp.III is released it will fill in all the holes?
That will get all our questions answered?

How old is the emperor and how did he get to be the start of the darkside? Would he have to have been a jedi first, there is no mention of why he was evil and started the "darkside"???

The Clones are being made to form an army for the Republic. The twist is that the Republic did not know this. But without that army, there could be no war, the war Sidious needs to become Emperor. Hence ultimately they were created for his purposes.

The Clone Wars are actually the Republican Clone Armies, and Jedi, versus the Confederate Seperatists.

Looks lilely that the Clones are pre-Stormtrioopers but that dosn;t actually work 100%

Episode III will probably leave a fair amount unsaid.

III better not leave things unsaid. Otherwise expect three more sequels.

Even if there were three more sequels, they would not explain anything left unsaid by episode III.

And the thing about the war between Clones and separatists is, that Palpy controls them both and thus uses them to create chaos and wipe out all major power structures in the universe so he can easily take over.

Yup. I'd hope GL would make it a bit more clear. Non-SW freaks never had any clue this is what's going on. They have to wait two movies to find out in no. 3 that there had been a plot going on in the first two prequels... Not very good storytelling by the Great Flanelled One.

He'd be one of the competing senators or even a general. We know he must die before Vader takes the helm.

i think we're missing the most important question here. who stabs palpatine in the groin? and more importantly, could we get to see that on jackass?

the more hole there are the more opportunity there will be for EU to fill in the gaps and make sw a team effort
