Yeah like I thought; I don't think we can count that. It isn't strictly a knock out. When Wolverine gets kicked he's still concious. He's out when we see him later on the tree, but again that could just be due to him bleeding out.
So you're ignoring the diminishing letters in those caption boxes? uhuh
Also, Wolverine doesn't seem to remember that he got impaled. And like I said, same thing happened with Victor... Logan gets punched, he tries to get up, looks at Hudson... and we find out in the next issue that he fainted...

So really shouldn't we only be taking one-shots since the whole point is to demonstrate whether or not Logan can be knocked out without taking subsequent damage....maybe two shots??
I don't see diminishing letters. 😕
In fact, the last word is in bold.. I would also think getting your entire body impaled like that would be quite a shock to the system, Logan could have been fully concious when he hit it.
But that's just it, the panel leave room for more interpretation than just Wolverine getting KOed from the kick so the example isn't conclusive evidence.

well he already thinks that it isnt pis when a kitchen knife goes through logan's adamantium hand nor when a sword goes through a sternum or adamantium rib cage
About hand and rib cage examples... there's more than enough space for blade to go through.
Sternum is PIS. Most of the time guys stab him right below it though.

1) What can knock him out.
and
2) The likelyhood.
We did shift a bit from one-shots but the discussions become more broad... Like I said, when we reel in more example's we'll be able to begin to seperate and organize them.

You know what I mean.
Fair enough... but you know as well as I do what answer Way would give us if we asked him.
Then can't we say Hudson's beaten the shit out of Wolverine off-panel? Seeing as he was conscious (for a while at least) after taking that punch?

Y'know I really can't figure out what his deal is.. He was the first guy to have Wolverine regen from a skeleton, the first guy to have him tank a nuke head on, he had that crazy story with DP hitting Wolverine with everything but the kitchen sink in place of a piano. And I was fine when Wolverine was written weaker due to reasons at the beginning of his run.. but the guy seriously has no idea where he wants this character to be.
Still kickin after several Skaar blows but Hudson has him loopy in one punch? He gets knocked out by zombie japs?
WTF? It's like he's self concious about how he used to portray the guy.
BTW: I'll have to re-read the Hudson story.

So are we finally in agreement that Way is retarded and probably the worst writer to ever touch Wolverine? He's so inconsistent it's not even funny...why the hell did they pick HIM to do origins? Maybe they wouldn't have had to kick Wolverine's main series over to Daken if someone OTHER than Way was writing origins.

Yeah, I remember that. I think he just doesn't care about all those inconsistencies. Characters under his pen heal as fast/slow (preferably the latter) as the story needs them to, explanation is unnecessary. Although he did give one in Origins and Endings and in the first issues of Origins.
Remember when Logan kept that freight car with Romulus from reconnecting with the rest of the train? He took quite a beating from Hudson then and even prior to that.
Zombies... when did that happen? Some recent DP comic?

As far as I know, he wasn't Marvel's first pick. The others declined.
