I wonder how effective the stare would work. I think it would most likely work on the Void but would it be completly effective on Sentry/bob. They are kinda 2 separate personas.

Considering Bob alreayd gets crippled by the guilt of his actions as The Void/is very unstable, it would probably kill him.
due to his duel entity (more than just a duel personality) I think it would hurt the void alot and maybe be a win in a forum fight.
I'm would say in comics I wouldn't be surprised if they wrote that the void retreats back into bob and then comes back later.
But either way it would put sentry/void for a spin.
