Nobody is actually bowing to stranger, eternity is just explaining the stranger plans to detonate the potential the celestials instilled in the human race - the power to originate the Eternity of the next encarnation of the universe - thus anticipating the end of the cosmos in a fashion he'd control (by harvesting the power) so that nobody but himself survives. He would then be left as master of everything and subjugate the cosmos. This obviously never happens, the picture is just there to illustrate eternity's speech.

stranger is a nobody

Phoenix isn't in the itself vision. She's experiencing the vision created for her by Eternity to reveal the Stranger's plan. That's the artist's depiction of her in the center experiencing all these revelations. I.E., it's not possible for the abstracts to bowing before her when she's not in the vision at all.
