This isn't about the comic version. But I was curious how people feel around here about the anime version of Blade?

The Anime was a unique take on the character, Blade. It showed off a lot of features that the movies didn't. Deacon Frost was a beast when he was going up against Blade.

Im thinking Blade is going to be invited to the wedding. No feats in Gauntlet 13 though other than taking apart some vamps. I am so posting Wade's fight with Dracula into his respect thread as soon as I fix my computer. A really nice showing for Wade despite him getting ripped apart a lot. And now there are two Marvel big baddies POed at Wade for stealing their girls.😄

I feel like Blade's past fights with Dracula are even more impressive since we've know seen him easily take apart heroes like Wolverine, Black Knight, and now Deadpool. Deadpool's blood is so bad that it actually weakens Dracula but Deadpool was unable to seriously fight Dracula at any point.

He did keep up with him in a sword fight for a brief time. Not bad concidering how fast Dracs was portrayed here. Not often see him pulling a quicksilver. And a win is a win anyway, not like anyone expected DP to overcome him physically. Plus a nice HF feat for Wade, he's been lacking those recently.

didnt he just block one sword swipe then get his throat ripped out?

They blocked a couple of attacks from each other, DP also dodged/jumped over another few, all with one arm. Basically Dracula was slowly ripping chunks off of DP and Wade kept coming.

Drac did say he was weakened from drinking DP's blood and was even surprised his healing factor was also weakened from Wade's blood.

That may be possible. Blade was at the Black Panther/Storm wedding.

no disrespect to wade, I think it was a nicely written fight. I dont think wade can beat drac if they both go all out, but if you underestimate him, then he can make it work. The whole gauntlet series is one of the best deadpool stories I've ever read and I feel like every character was written with respect.

blade seemed to actually respect tchalla though...he and wade had their moments but I think he'd want to kill shiklah any chance he got.

Also impressive durability showing for blade, earlier he tanked a blast from shiklah that was shown in this issue to completely vaporize an elder vampire.

two more hints dropped proving what we already know.

Ronin talks about only removing his mask for work he did overseas, and having mixed it up with a mercenary he met there, in reference to his work in The Gauntlet. He then cuts off his ninja were-snake things head when it's about to reveal who he is, all they get out is "Da-" which presumably would've been Daywalker.
