lol iron man would demolish DV.
Just remember that Vader also has the ability to end Tony with a casual twitch of his finger... His TK was off the charts.
Originally posted by Black bolt zVader could generate very powerful shielding ala the force. He also possessed formidable pre-cog (ie. he could potentially know what Tony was going to do before he did it, and defend/attack accordingly.)
I know.Still IM would easily beat DV.One repulsor ray and he's down.
Don't sell the force short. 😉
Originally posted by Black bolt zIn the comics, Vader was not limited to blocking blaster bolts with his hands -- he could also generate force-force fields around his entire person.
I'm not trying to.and I know vader has blocked blaster bolts before but will a constant repulsor say with him flying in a 360 around vader will vader be able to block it?

General Grievous Vs. Batman & Nightwing would be an interesting thread.

have you tried talking to the mods about it?

Yeah, most SW characters have appeared in more comic books then half of the characters allowed in the comic forums... That's why I never understood why SW characters were forbidden here.srug

Letting every character who ever appeared in a comic would be a de facto anything vs forum which Raz and the rest of the mods are against.
[center]Rules for the matches themselves:[b]Keep them comic related.
- If there is another forum for discussing the characters, they are banned. This includes game characters, anime/manga, and Star Wars.
- Beyond that, if a character has a regular comic series and is not overwhelmingly viewed in a different medium, they will be allowed. The "primarily viewed in a comic medium" rule is not always in affect, but will be a guideline for moderator discretion.

The rules will stay as they are. The cross genre thread is just an idea. There will be only one thread at a time after this week. That way it can be monitored easily. The reason why things like this rarely happen is we start getting gripes and complaints for more and more. If that happens here I'll close the threads and not reconsider the idea again. 😬

Granted, but the fact his remaining organic components are exposed inside of his exoskeleton and that Batman and Nightwing can use projectiles, explosives (plastiques), and other chemical agents (maybe liquid nitrogen pellets) give them avenues of attack. Going melee would get them dismembered pretty quickly.
I think arguments could be made either way.

Also, Star Wars is a bit of a sacred cow around here to the powers that be, so it gets very touchy very quickly when one of it's characters ends up on the losing end of a debate. Being a person without a genre/franchise bias I didn't appreciate how sensitive some people can be about it.
Originally posted by BadabingYeah I figured that would be the 'go to' argument against SW threads in the comic forums, and I don't necessarily disagree with it. I do, however, still think it's odd that SW has (literally) thousands of comics to it's name AND it's published by Dark Horse, yet it's still a no-no here. Meh, whatevs.

Anyhow, I would highly suggest not allowing DBZ-related threads (especially in this trial period.) With some of the arguments currently going on in them I can see the whole 'cross-genre allowance' thing being swiftly shut down (again), and that would be a horrible waste, because imo this forum needs a change like that. /shrug
