had me dying. This dude is simultaneously likable and loathsome.

This episode was the first time that I got the impression that Rick is biding his time with Negan. He knows he prob can't just come straight at him, not without knowing a lot more about him.

well, he could have killed Negan multiple times. He just knows that doing so would likely lead to all of his friends and family dying. Rick doesn't know the level of loyalty among The Saviors; he doesn't know if they'd fall apart without Negan, or brutally kill his people out of revenge.

they many times they showed Rick tightly gripping Lucille is proof that he's not completely broken.

Good chance that if Rick has numbers on his side (the other two communities), he will go against Negan.

People that haven't read the books and have below average IQ don't really count.

Yeah, should be interesting to see how that pans out. After all, Hilltop and The Kingdom don't have much(if any) firearms, so it's not like Rick would gain back an arsenal IF [😖hifty:] he were to unite with them.

If they can find out where Negan's homebase is, rally people from Hilltop and The Kingdom, and then try taking them all out in their sleep (like they did to the house they thought was Negan's) while saving Daryl? Given Daryl is there at the home base?

I dunno, sounds far fetched, but what else can they do. Remain Negan's b****es and let him come once a month, take whatever he wants, brutally murder someone, and probably rape their women? Sounded like he'll definitely take Maggie if he sees her again.

Sometimes fighting to the last man isn't the worst idea.

IMO, Rick doesn't know for sure that he's not the father of Judith, without doctors to test DNA, I don't see how he could. IIRC, he thought he was until he found out about Shane and his wife, so they must have boned at least once for him not to be suspicious straight away. He could quite easily be her father.

He must have figured out the timing. It's good though he treats her like his own.

You respond with this wall-o-text in an attempt to hyper-defend your beloved pet character, and then accuse others of being 'desperate'?

Legit lol'd at that one, so thanks for that. 👆

#ConcessionAccepted 👆

I went in to refute you point by point. I knew you'd throw in the towel you always do. You also haven't accepted my battlezone challenge because you know immrit and don't have the guts to defend this chump. Other posters agree with me as the only reason Rick is playing along is the superior numbers. Negan hasn't even broken Daryl yet. Not too impressive but if you want to use praise the comics version then by all means continue the fapping.

I'll make this simple do you believe the tv version of Negan would beat the tv version of the Governor in a one on one fight ?

As I said from the get go it's about the numbers and the army. I said this from the onset but it seems as if people are coming around to my trailblazing opinion.

The same reasons everyone follows Negan: fear and intimidation. Negan doesn't care about completely breaking them -- just breaking them *enough* to provide for him without hesitation/incident.

Ezekiel clearly doesn't like him either, but he still provides. Etc.

Well yeah, they will eventually rally against Negan. That is to be expected. Obviously the rest of the seasons aren't going to just center around the good guys providing for the bad guys. However, Negan abhors rape -- if/when he sees someone attempting rape, he'll slaughter them. 👆

The no guns thing is what has me scratching my head. Perhaps one of the other communities knows where they can find a huge cache of guns, but believes it to be worthless because they have no ammo.... *enter Eugene making said ammo*..?

That sounds a bit more likely now that I think about it.

Ah that's good. Don't think I could take another GOT Sansa getting raped type scene.

It would have to be an ambush. Would have to be close up fighting where they can use their knives and stabbing weapons.

But yeah they did focus on the Eugene making ammo thing.

Yeah. I'm just surprised that f*cking Rosita was the first person to think about actually manufacturing ammunition, lol.

They're going out of their way the saviours far more douchey than they were in the comics.

Yup.

That is actually a small gripe I have. In the comics Negan ONLY took half of their shit. He didn't take more than that -- went along with him being 'reasonable' and whatnot. Hopefully the show slows down a bit with the villainy.

That makes more sense tbh. If you want them to survive, be productive and carry on serving you.

I mean if they get a hoard of Walkers invading them again, then they're screwed.

But at least he left them all the food Lol

He's definitely pouring it on a bit thick

Did anyone lol when Rick threatened to break Spencers jaw 😂

Cmon Rick... Everyone knows your ass can't fight 😆

Yeah, seemed like he took a cue from Negan there -- "say yes". 😂

On that note, I lol'd when Negan referred to Rick's beard as a "man bush". 👆

On another note, does anyone think

Spoiler:
Rick's subservience to Negan will disgust Michonne and drive her away... Which will allow Ezekiel to swoop in and claim her? I've been wondering if the show will depict the Michonne/Ezekiel love affair like the comics, but then again, the show didn't have her f*cking Tyreese either. /shrug

Would find that a bit contradictory though because she was the one who in the season pilot was saying to Negan (with sincerity it seemed like) "yes please stop we understand", while Rick was the one still giving him attitude.

Thinking about this, I mean he basically took Dwight's wife away (assuming that story is true). So he might not see that as rape in his twisted head, but it obviously is.

And the way he was talking about Maggie, didn't really make me feel like her Vag was safe either.

I think that plea was more to save Carl. She is definitely throwing 'tude toward Negan now.

It's different in the sense that those women willingly asked to be his wives -- he didn't force himself on them in the literal sense. In the last episode he also said something along those lines when telling Dwight to go get laid: "Pick whoever you want, as long as she says "yes"..."

In the comics at least, Negan will kill you on the spot if you try to rape someone -- even if the raper is from his own community, and even if the rapee is an enemy:
