Yes, she's awesome in the comic. Way more together and dangerous. Her battle with the Governor in the comic is the stuff of legends - absolutely brutal. In the show they botched that bad.
Decent enough opener for me, not too keen on Rick going loopy banana time at the end. Even having read the comics, I'm not too sure where this is all going to end up as they can go off in a few different directions from this point, I'm worried however that they're going to botch it all and hastily slap it all together toward the end.
Watched the second ep. I found myself getting annoyed that even after all this time/practice, Rick and his entire group are absolutely horrible shots. 👇
Oh and Rick is completely phucking nutso, Glenn is a "pussy-b1tch", and Daryl is badass. Yes, we already knew these things, but this ep. solidified them. 👆

* Glenn's immaturity is exposed when he tried to step up as the group's leader... he is not a leader and will not ever be, IMO as per the character's progress... he is also blinded by rage when he thought Maggie was raped by the Governor - well, who wouldn't be? but given their situation, every move should be carefully planned, not recklessly...
* Rick, as far as i think it was, is not crazy... yet... his conversation with Herschel showed that he knew he was hallucinating, he knew he was seeing Lori but he knew it was not really her... personally, i hate where this is going for Rick because there is no one who's a better leader than him in the course of the show... and regardless of the group's general attitude towards him, they tend to obey his orders because they know that he is usually right... he was forced to make difficult decisions, he lost his wife and he might even lose his sanity but the fact that the group still survived this long, further proves he is the right man for the job (like someone i know and is a fan of... *cough* Scott Summers)...

The governor was out in the open in clear view, the others had partial cover in some fashion. Rick's the only one with any real gun experience in that group.
Glenn's little break down is understandable, he was captured, beaten, thought his GF was raped and then denied retribution with Meryl being allowed to walk. He's still the Asian who used himself as bait down a zombie well, killed a walker while being tied to a chair and tore apart a corpse to make a shank. Glenn's balls > all other balls on the show

Experience with shooting slow moving corpses, typically at very close range. I've not been in a shoot out, but from people who have. It's far different than being at a gun range where bullets aren't coming back towards you.
Daryl's the most badass. But even his balls fall short of Glenn's.
I understand why he's pissed, but he's allowing his emotions get the better of him to the point where he's starting to make idiotic decisions (and yes, trying to bumrush the Governor on his own turf by himself IS an idiotic decision.)
