Sweettooth: Light em up boys! It's good to be back!

After numerous quotes and rumors surrounding the new game David Jaffe was working on, it turned out to be a return to the Twisted Metal series that began on the PlayStation 1.

The game was sown at Sony’s E3 press conference with an on stage multiplayer demo. Jaffe mentioned that the game would include full campaign mode as well as a splitscreen multiplayer mode and online multiplayer. On the stage he showcased a new multiplayer game mode called Nuke.

The demo had players battling their way to towers were they tried to capture the leader of the opposition faction, where he or she sits atop manning a machine gun. The leader is then attached to the vehicle that captures them and the player must drive them to their team’s missile launcher. The leader is then used to fuel the missile launcher, firing warheads to try to destroy the enemy team’s enormous statue.

Twisted Metal will be coming in 2011 exclusively for the PlayStation 3.

I have fond memories of the Twisted Metal games... I'm sceptical of the helecopter addition but this is certainly a title I will be looking out for.

I've thought Twisted Metal had been going downhill since 3, but this looks like it could be okay.

Looks nice. I haven't played Twisted Metal in years though, but Sweet Tooth's my fave.

to make this a ps3 exclusive breaks my heart, but it makes sense i guess 🙁

TM black was the best so far, hope this improves.

2 is still my all-time personal fave.. I'd be interested to see it topped by this
