that was actually why I made the comparison to shutting down highways. it is an act so invasive into the lives of normal people that any authority that tried it would face open insurrection.
I think you exaggerate. Yeah, the president who did that would piss people off, but it wouldn't become a Marie Antoinette situation.

ronald reagan invented the internet right ? so how come he doesnt have his own switch to shut if off ?
Because he's dead?
i remember when there was no internet. when there was ps1 on a nice day.
but to other people, like most women and metros, they'd lose it if they didn't have access to twitter for more than 5 mins. like they'd literally die. like their hearts'd just stop beating. so if obama doesn't want all that blood on his hands he'll not press this button.

I don't know what is more astounding, your essentialism of women as net crazy or of "real men" as apathetic to the Internet.

i'm not generalising all women i wrote "most women". it's true that the female species are the gabbers of the human race and twitter is the ultimate place to do that.
i've seen women go through mild breakdowns and ill tempers because twitter's been down; crazy arguments amoung eachother, fights. while i've never seen a man do that over a downed social website. now i'm not saying men don't care. in fact i've never wrote anything about that all so where you got that astounds me. and you missed my point. basically obama shutting down the internet wouldn't be a good thing, moreso for certain groups than others.

well, maybe not fighting in the streets, but no way corporations, let alone the common man, would follow those laws.
by insurection I sort of meant almost defacto disobediance of the law. there is only so long even the most non-rebelious person will accept the Internet being taken down by the gov.

wrong. femenism is alive today because of double standars, a false sense of entitlement, gynocrats, manginas, and the media. america's creation of this new highly protected feminine class is why femenism is still relevant today.
and it's gotten worse. women, now more than ever, are looking past equality and eyeing superiority, while still demanding chivalry.

It gets more and more likely with every day that passes. For a lot of people it would be similar to a president thirty years ago shutting down TV and phone lines all across the country.
