Tokiya Mikagami vs Uryu Ishida

Two of my favorite characters duke it out...

This is during the Ura Buto Satsujin finals and Ishida is a guest member of team Kurei, he apparently targets Tokiya for making fun of his Quincy outfit which he painstakingly designed and knitted...

There is sufficient spirit particles in the area to be absorbed and allow Ishida to fight in character...

1. Uryu cannot use the Quincy Final Form and speed is equalized...

2. All out battle with 5 mins prep for both sides...

'Cannot use the Final Form' & 'All out battle'

Does that mean that this is Soul Society Ishida?

It's two separate matches...

My bad...

The thing with Uryu's speed is that he utilizes a technique which functions as a Reiatsu current beneath his feet allowing him to move faster. With speed equalized do you mean that Tokiya's speed is that of Uryu's actual speed, or his speed applying the technique?

are you referring to his reishi board which he used when he entered through Urahara's garganta and used again to carry Inoue? That's more on travel speed I think, and it only made him look faster inside the garganta because Ichigo sucks at reiatsu manipulation...

i'm not sure if this technique enhances Uryu's combat speed, and since I don't want to reread the chapters I'll just take your word for it, meaning he can't use this technique for the first fight...

With speed equal, how well does Ishida do with being unable to see through a wall of mist, and then frozen by just standing on the ring floor? Tokiya is also the genius of the Hokage on par with the likes of Kurama, and Shikamaru when it comes to strategy and much more ruthless than either one of them when he wants to be.

As for second battle, I have no clue..Tokiya has no defense hax move to counter Ishida's speed.

Hmmm, good points...

but didn't the technique he used on the tree guy require some prep mid battle, with him needing to stab the ensui on the ground?...

I guess if he manages to distract Uryu with the mist long enough to prep then Tokiya gets the win...

also I agree with the genius statement, that's the reason why I like him, his personality is basically like an amalgam of Hiei and Kurama, cold and callous and the way he keeps his composure against stronger enemies while locked in mortal combat is top notch...

that and the fact that the Ensui is my fave madogou...

With Ishida's speed reverted to its original level, and if this is Hueco Mundo Ishida, he takes this.
If it's Soul Society Ishida, and he can use the Final Form, it's over for Tokiya IMO.

Attempting to take the middle ground by placing a character between two stages of his opponent without any reasoning is to commit the golden mean fallacy.

I'm going with Uryu Ishida in both scenarios.

It took a bit against Mokuren when he first did it but I guess it depends on what part of the series Tokiya it it from. But then again he was also was trying to not kill Kaoru while doing it also....
