No, it was stated directly by narration and there is nothing to contradict it. Frieza was only stated to be the strongest in the universe because the people at that time didn't know about the beings that were stronger than him.
Goku stated numerous of times that if he didnt stop Frieza that Frieza would destroy the universe. King Ki also mentioned this so again, you cant accept one thing without accepting the other.
Yes I am using Post-Crisis Superman feats, as that is the canon version. I assume you meant to say Pre-Crisis, but it wasn't Pre-Crisis, it was Post-Crisis. And that scan is really old, he couldn't go FTL at that time, but he managed to do so later and now can do it consistently. I can post a scan of Kid Goku failing to keep up with Bulma's motorcycle, that would be just as valid.

I can show you the likes of Wolverine, Captain America, Spider-Man, etc. moving so fast people can't see them and don't know where they've gone. Human vision is dependent on many factors and can easily be fooled. The fact that you take this as any kind of reliable standard for speed proves the failure of your thinking methods.
Show me then... show me these people along with Superman CONTINOUOSLY fighting at blinding speed. Dont show me a quick burst, I want to see continous speed. Those speed feats that you presented in your post... Wolverine has accomplished every last one of them. Running at super speed... he has done it... move his hand at tremendous speed... What you fail to realize is that doesn't actually mean anything. It's not quantifiable in most cases, and much slower characters than Superman or Goku can do the same thing. If you want to prove a superiority in speed, you have to use actual NUMBERS. I know the idea of using actual math probably scares you, but at least try.

I'll tell you what, you should read a manga called Rurouni Kenshin. It is actually a really good manga, you'll enjoy it. It's also easy to find. In it, the characters do all the stuff you're always going on about, they blur, they make afterimages, they disappear from people's vision, all of that stuff. But the fastest characters in that series are barely above the speed of sound, and they're basically just human swordsmen. All of that stuff is not proof of speed.
I seen it and its no where close to being a fraction of DBZ and this doesnt help your argument or what I am asking you for. I'll be waiting on those combat speed feats.

Lol... even though I think goku could play patty cake very well, that isn't the reason I think he is more versaatile than superman. He is a telepath, shown telekinesis, shown that he can dematerialize a blast (which was shown when vegeta shot his galan gun at him when they were fighting at super saiyan 2s. Then we have him fighting against the ginyu force and propelling a huge blast of tremendous air from his body which sent jeice and berta flying back for miles. All of these are physical attributes not just super hearing and sight. Then let's not even include the fact that he shot a blast from his feat during the time he fought king piccolo. Goku is more versatile and I am pretty sure that I am missing some things. Piccolo is more versatile than both.

Superman feats are better than captain marvel but there are thousands that think cap could pull a majoriy against supes. Supes feats are greater than titus but we seen what happened when they met. His feats is also higher than cheetah but we also seen what happened when they met.
Now if you look at combat speed feats, goku has him beat... punching power, goku has him beat, blunt force durability, superman has never went through what goku has went through in a fight and still stand, power out put... goku is a planet buster (even though I think he is much higher than that).
The only way you could hope gto believe that superman stand a chance is by being in denial. Vegeta alone laughs at the thrill of fighting galaxy destroyers, superman ain't sh** to him.
