Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is a game that is being developed by the critically acclaimed Criterion Games. (primarily known for the Burnout Series)
As the name implies, it is somewhat of a return to the arcade style of the Classic era of NFS. The main feature is the return of high speed chases between cop cars and racers in exotics, with the ability to completely play as both classes, even in Career Mode. It has been touted as a revolutionary addition to the NFS franchise.
New to the series is the addition of Autolog to the game, which has been likened to Facebook.

Understandable. The last few NFS games have sucked ass.
This one looks to be much better though. It's being made by the dudes that made the Burnout series.

If it can speed past a Veyron like it does in the trailer, I'm guessing it's going to be pretty annoying.

Just seeing the chance to play as a the cop though makes me want to at the least want to rent it twice 😐

Hopefully the burnout crew can make it better than the past couple of NFS games have been, cause really the only thing I ever did when I played the recent ones was just evade police and did a few online games before people got rid of NFS.

I really want to see something better done for the tuning performance for cars kinda like Gran Turismo's, I don't know how the last two NFS games were with it but, I now the last ones I played were buy an enhancement or discount package and slide a bar over for accel or speed bonus.

I think for the racers the NFS is the great game. Actually I like the most wanted and the hot pursuit because. I actually like to play the game with the police and thats why I like this game. If you have the best car then you can make the best game with the cops.

Game is good, racing is fun, im all for racing sims but sometimes i just wanna jump into an exotic and burn round some nice scenery and powerslide round some wide bends. The autolog is a great lil function, and the re-introduction of cops back into the game is never a bad thing. No to mention Criterion are heading the project. Demo is all i needed to convince me to buy on day 1.

This is what I loved about NFS. I never got into the Undergrounds and other recent games. NFS HP 2 was by far my favorite just because there were cops, good music and breaking through roadblocks.
