If this was only Darkseid from PC to Byrne, he'd have a shot. According to Byrnes work, 'Seid was wiping out pantheons and absorbing their powers...

As much as I liked The Hunger, I don't know what Byrne was thinking. The fact he had Darkseid affect Surfer, yet the Astro Force didn't even smudge his chrome says everything, considering Orion is supposed to be the guy who defeats Darkseid...

Orion vs Thor is even money, imo.
