Could Twivamps be infected with the Rage Virus?

If there was an outbreak of the Rage Virus and Edward was bitten, would he become a Vampire Zombie or just remain a vampire only infected with the Rage Virus?

You guys kinda missed the main issue here...

Vampires are medically dead.

The Rage virus does not reanimate the dead, it only works on living creatures.

^ Not sure.

They do have an accelerated healing factor though. My reasoning is something like the Rage virus wouldn't be able to screw Wolvie (several advance viruses have failed when infecting him) due to his HF, but Jacob's HF is nowhere near that level, so I'm not sure.
