and Rare is out of their minds if they dont see this as an opportune moment to start workin on killer instinct 3

Rare's sorta been out of their minds for awhile now unfortunately.

So, if there are going to be two different versions of this game, each showcasing a specific game play style, does that mean you can only play people online that have the same game version?

Pretty much.

I hadn't heard this, was there an interview on it?

street fighter x tekken is by capcom.. its gonna have capcom gameplay

tekken x street fighter is by namco.. is going to have tekken style play

they're two completely different and independent games.. so you definitely will not be able to fight a TxSF if you have SFxT

That kind of sucks actually, I mean I guess it's only fair to the individual players, but I really was looking forward to destroying tekken fans, which can't happen if they're all off playing another game >_>

well.. you could brush up on namco's version of an SF character in Tekken x SF if you wanted to..dunno how they're gonna wind up though as I havent seen anything on namco's version yet

No, it doesnt kind of suck it's fawking ridiculous. How can we make more money and screw over the gamers? Oh, yeah lets make two versions of the same game

pretty clear bullshit imo. they should have had the two modes and engines in ONE game.

and I'm pretty sure they could do it. I know it's not a case of disc space, because a dvd and definitely blu ray can have two freaking fighting games/more like modes in it.

well.. what it seems like you're asking is that

while playing street fighter vs tekken, you want to fight someone who's playing tekken vs street fighter..

this would be like trying to network quake 3 and half-life deathmatch.. its just two completely different things

its not just two of the same game.. I'm sure when some footage is released youll see what I mean

Yeah but it is the same game. I know the excuse for releasing two versions is so that each game can be best represented in the crossover but thats just bullshit. It's a cheap and blatant marketing ploy to me. If it is in deed true that they couldnt figure out how to combine both styles in one game their just lazy and this is almost as bad as making people buy two versions of the same game. Each game better release at $30.

It's just a bad decision to me. It would be different if the main draw of these games weren't online multiplayer.

Capcom is busy with making Street Fighter X Tekken & Mavel vs Capcom 3 & Namco with making Tekken X Street Fighter, so when will they finally make the 2 crossover games that fans really want like Virtua Fighter vs Tekken & Capcom vs SNK 3?

Yeah, but I think the purists would get in an uproar

New footage, yet still same characters:

thats the same footage from SDCC

YouTube video
😆

Also, I think that video by Bro shows a little more than the typical footage on youtube.

* i'll borrow this from IGN.com... "Ken's just as indispensable to the series as Ryu is. After all, could you imagine a Street Fighter game without him? Perhaps, but it probably still wouldn't be the same"... 😛

Yeah I could care less either way, but there's no way Ken won't be in it. Also I'm glad to see that they have Evil Ryu in the ads for this game now, that almost guarantees that Akuma will be present
