To the one-shot issue, Captain Marvel KO'd Superman with one shot.
I know some will say it exploited his "Weakness" to magic but I think the point has been overstated and badly misapplied over the years.
Magic isn't Kryptonite to Superman otherwise there were several encounters with mages/mystical creatures that should've killed him in the past.
That initial blow from mjolnir should've dropped him for instance.

We go by writer's intent, not by what really happened (since it never happened). Brainiac clearly says, "Full thrust counter measure." You also see the blue Imperiex energies pushing against Superman. Brainiac also says "How is he moving my planet? The Kryptonian doesn't have that power."
