US commander: Iraqis ready to handle security

WASHINGTON – Iraq's military is ready and able to take over security operations as the United States ends it combat role and prepares for a major troop withdrawal, the commander of U.S. forces in Iraq said Sunday.

If the Iraqi forces are allowed to do what they used to do under Saddam, they will be more effective.

you need a firm hand in that part of the world.. a lil violence to keep the ppl in line the tribal family group mentality is more important then nationalism.. it is what will keep the fighting goin each family wanting to rule and control large portions of the country.. basically its just the mafia

lets face it, there´s gona be a civil war back the shiite´s backed by Iran as soon as the western forces leave.

Then why are they being trained by the US military? I don't think it matters what country is occupying Iraq. As long as the occupying military is controlled by the world media they have no business being there.

You know, now that I think of it...this may not be such a bad plan after all...we pretend we leave...the enemy enters the city like they think won.....And BOOYAH! we go SUPRISE BUTTSECKS! Hahaha!!!
