Moondragon vs Mantis

Moondragon already beat Mantis.

However, I'm still inclined to say that Mantis is a better fighter and should take a majority in h2h.

Yeah, I wasnt very convinced by that fight either. What about an arena battle with all their powers?

IDK, the whole point of that fight was to find out who was a better fighter, and Moondragon won strait up. I know that outside of that fight Mantis has better feats overall, but that's really only because the old writers prefered showcasing Moondragon's telepathy and Mantis's martial arts. It's been established that they went through pretty much the same combat training so I'm willing to support the way the fight went down between the two since Moondragon's problem is a lack of showings rather than low showings.

Moondragon. As pointed out, she already squarely beat Mantis in H2H and knocked her out cold. She's had basically the same training but seemed to be the more disciplined fighter of the two, which is why she won. If full powers were on it would be interesting.

MD won already, and despite the fact she doesn't have the high-end feats Mantis has displayed, her martial arts have always been quite powerful, and she was more disciplined than Mantis back in the day.

Current Mantis has pyrokinesis and precog, though.

I'll go with Moondragon as well. In the Infinity Gauntlet Arc, she was a beast, fighting dudes waaaaays above her own league and holding her own.

Moondragon confuses me. When did she become such a great fighter? Did she recieve an upgrade or something that i'm not aware of? I have a ton of comics with her in them and she always seemed to be getting her ass kicked (granted they were in the 70's and early 80's though when she was hanging with the Avengers).

Honestly it was just a BS low showing for Mantis, like when she lost to Dr. Strange in h2h.

In cas th OP didnt make it clear, this is a battle with all their powers, niot just h2.

Right now for mantis that would be: total physiological self-control, ubber martial arts and TP, empathy, precognition (apparently has constant knowledge of the unfolding of future vents), pyrokinesis, communication and control of plant life and astral projection.

For moondragon: near total physiological self-control, ubber martial arts and TP (likely stronger than mantis's), weak TK
