That is a good point. A lot of the arguments presented were "Guy can make a shield to defend against Superman." If Superman can break the shield, why can't Gladiator at full confidence? It makes no sense.

Guy got trashed by Lobo once.
He also fought fairly evenly with Lobo in an earlier JLA story, and had the upper hand in his solo series with the Sinestro ring, only having problems due to his power randomly shorting out.
I pick Gladiator though, since his upper level feats are closer to pre crisis Superman clone stuff then post crisis, imo..

Ever since Rebirth, he's been pretty awesome. Inspired the entire Corp in Recharged, came up with the idea of using the yellow battery as a cosmic bomb against Anti Monitor, and thought up the trawling net in Blackest Night.
And he has Kyles respect, which says a lot. Even John softened up on him.. (and frankly he has no business looking down on anyone considering some of his history..)
