No, it really shouldn't. Because (1) we don't "stack" powers without reason and (2) Captain Marvel doesn't possess the full powers of any of the "Gods".

But the powers don't stack synergistically in the way you suggest. Power of Zeus isn't like some Chi Amping type deal that increases the Speed of Mercury.

There's no point in assigning arbitrary percentages, but I think we can all agree that he doesn't have Zeus's full power.

Has there ever been a match between the two where Superman is depicted as clearly holding an edge against Captain Marvel? Because to my knowledge, it's the exact opposite.

Not really.

Hell, even Superman's victories over Marvel are circumstantial.

I.E. the first Eclipso-possessed fight, Cap and the possessed Superman were on equal footing. Cap was still able to restrain him with a hold of some sort (don't remember if it was just a headlock or what), until Billy's attention wavered for just a moment, allowing Supes to break free and then pummel Cap.

In their first meeting, Superman knocked out Captain Marvel after tons and tons of blows and then only because Cap was weaker via his connection to his Gods being weaker in Superman's world.

They are about as even as even gets.

Yep. Freddy is powered by the Gods directly. Shazam can't take his powers away.

...but how powerful is Freddy supposed to be? I mean, he hasn't really done much ever since he became the new 'Captain Marvel'.
