Unforgiven Remake
I knew that would get you in, not the Eastwood film, but I see America are remaking a British three part television programme that was on a few years ago here... to maybe star Angelina Jolie taking the Suranne Jones role(people outside Britain will probably have no idea who this actress is but she is in the link video below).

A woman’s struggle to rejoin society after she serves a 15-year prison stretch for the murder of two policemen. The tragedy happened after the policemen came to evict her family from their farmhouse. Her hope is to live quietly and reunite with her troubled younger sister, but the paroled woman is targeted for a revenge campaign by two sons of one of her victims.
Did anyone in Britain, or outside, manage to catch this programme, it was good, especially for the channel it was shown on here, but it was Jones' role that stood out, she was fantastic in Unforgiven.
It could work as a film, especially for Jolie, she doesn't seem to choose many films that show off her acting. This will.
Odd choice to remake though, I can't think of any other programmes like this in Britain remade as an American film, anyone?
