With Zoro's speed Herc needs to last more than just one hit, so it cannot be a character that will obviously cut him through.

The thing is, Zoro's lifes ambition was to beat Mihawk.

I haven't really followed One Piece lately, but if he ever gets to that point, or even close, it's safe to say anything Mihawk can do, Zoro can do too..

It's one of the conventions of manga/anime "power" type fighters, where whoever has the bigger power can perform the bigger feat.. Not all anime/manga subscribe to the theory, but One Piece clearly does (As does Bleach, DBZ, to a point Naruto..)

Also, Zoro has become increasingly stronger after getting enough power to cut through steel.

Zorro has a ways to go before hes Mihawk level
