The EXP pack is great.
Having those four maps is awesome. There redone so they don't look and feel like the old BF2 maps but the setup is the same so they play roughly similar. It also helps that those 4 maps are classics and there is a reason for them being classic, they play great.
I only hope DICE releases more of the old BF2 maps. I would love some Mashtuur City, Dragon Valley, Shongu and Daquin Oilfields

I want Bridge too Far.
Helicopters can be annoying if someone knows how to use one. They would be easier to kill if more people used the recon's vehicle painter thing, but the problem with that is that whenever you play recon and use it, there's no engineers around to capitalize with their anti-air rockets. So you're standing there like a dumbass painting the helicopter and totally exposing yourself for no reason.
You get tired of that and switch to a different class, and then engineers start trying to shoot the helicopter. 😐
Just another reason why the console version of BF3 sucks ass. The lack of a way to communicate with people is deplorable.
On the other hand, I've never had an issue with tanks. For one thing I'm pretty damn good with tanks myself, for another you can kill one in two RPG shots if you hit em in the back. So just ambush them.

I would suspect balancing different classes, heli's, IFV's and tanks is an impossible task.
I find that it's generally pretty good. It all depends on how good somebody is driving the thing. I've been a gunner for a guy and we drove around for 15-20 minutes shooting people and racking up kills/score. I've had times where I die instantly after getting into a vehicle.
The balance between the classes and vehicles is fine.
The problem is just the inability to communicate with your team and squad on the console.
If I was playing on PC I could paint a helicopter as a Recon and type out a general message to my entire team, asking for an engineer to pop the helicopter once I paint it. Unless everyone on my team is a bunch of dicks, chances are at least one person will say "fine".
On the 360 though, I have no way of relaying that request to anyone. So unless I'm playing with a friend who has a mic, I'm just screwed.

In my opinion, the amount of time you write the message and your friends noticed, the event has already past.
At least consoles have a mic. There is no VOIP for PC.
I think having the Spot feature is critical in the game.

Too bad you can't use both with the same class.
I think the idea is to promote team play, the only disadvantage is that it's basically the only place where it's really introduced in that way. Imagine if the same was needed for Mortars or a engineer was needed to reload or something like that. Mortars would never be used, and the same happens to Soflam and javelins so I agree entirely, it's a shame.
Well, there is other instances where teamplay is promoted.
For instance, the idea behind squads and how you get more points for doing actions with a squad member. Or, how a tandem of a gunner/driver in vehicles are much more powerful then with one. Recon using MAV's to spot targets for assault classes and the idea that each class has a special ability like give ammo and health.
I've noticed lately on the PC, the SOFLAM and Javelins combo are used quite a bit. In fact, a lot of bitching is because of the combination.

Yes, my point was that I think the Soflam, Javelin combo is the only situation where you really need to be two to make it work. One can drive a tank just fine, the class (given the automatic repair system) is not as important as it once was. MAV's gives and advantage sure, but they isn't required to spot the opponents. I agree with the ammo and health, but that is also done to ensure there is some balance, atleast imo. But again nothing really works like the Soflam and Javelin.
Yeah it's awesome 😄 But seriously I find it at times to be a requirement, given how fast (and as I understand it, unlimited amount) flares can deployed it's basically close to impossible to shoot down a Jet or a Helicopter. The Soflam ignores the flares, and maybe if they had made it so you could lock on straight after the flares was deployed Soflam wouldn't be as used as it is currently. I mean some the instant they get a lockon deploy flares, I lose my lockon and have to get a new one, they deploy it again rise and repeat. Atleast Soflam actually make it possible to shot down that damm jet.
