Resident Evil 6

Preordered the Xbox standard edition with money I didn't end up spending on ME3 (as I got that directly from Origin). Extremely displeased to find out that so far, the Anthology version is PS3 only, while the Collector's Edition for Xbox 360 has only some of the versions of prior games bundled available. I'm still sore with Capcom for refusing to release RE5 Gold on PC and for forcing PC gamers into using Games for Windows Live (To clarify, I have Xbox versions of RE 5, but I prefer PC for gaming these days). Now finding out that I have to pay the same amount extra for a CE edition that has -less- than a Sony PS3 version leaves me surprisingly upset as a long-time Capcom fan and customer.

I'd say something like "I hope they remedy this", but we've been saying that about RE 5 for PC for years.

What's this anthology version?

I didn't know North America was getting that... Damn. I do own directors cut, but if I can get the others in that set for that price... I'll get it.

Right? I'd love that. Save me having to dig out the old consoles, and I've been wanting to replay those titles. Really hope they change that.

EDIT: Actually, I take one part back. Director's Cut of 1 sucked horribly. REmake, please. And put Zero in. It was good too as was Veronica X.

In what way?......besides the engrish in it.

One thing I hope they work on before the game's release is the A.I.

Like, the A.I. of the bad guys in certain scenes during the Chris and Jake scenes was hilariously stupid.

If someone has a gun pointed at me, I don't want to be able to casually run up to them and judo flip them off a building.

Directors Cut has the original bundled with it, which is awesome.

Director's Cut failed to have actual unedited scenes and content as was originally promised. The change of quest items and texture swaps for main characters doesn't appeal to me. The REmake for Gamecube is far superior in every way, and ought to be added to the list in lieu of the original DC or even the original version.

Not imo.

The remake, as beautiful as it was, lacked the tension, sublime horror elements and all around creepy feel of the original, imo.

The original had absolutely brilliant dialogue as well as voice acting.

Nobody's saying it's not a bad game. It is, technically, superior to the original in many ways.

Which would I rather play though? The original.

It had a B-grade movie feel to it.

Hm, I understand where you're coming from, and nostalgia glasses aside I won't say you're wrong (in having an opinion, that is), but I have to heavily disagree with the specifics you're pointing out here.

If anything, the REmake had -more- tension, -more- creepiness to it, and more -sublime horror-. Between the Crimson heads, the darker ambiance, Lisa Trevor, the twists and turns deliberately meant to mess with the heads of those who had beaten the first game senseless... It's one of the best survival horror games ever made on those grounds alone.
