Nhl 11

I don't know how many hockey fans there are, or how many sports fans are on here in general, but if you are one of the two and play sports games... are you getting NHL 11? I'm picking it up tomorrow for PS3, so if anyone is gonna pick it up it might be cool to play online. 🙂

Yeah I'm getting it for sure. The demo was really good. The new physics engine is great and the AI is improved.

Backfire is right, the AI has definitely be improved. I believe for the first time ever in a hockey game, the one timer does not work 3/4 of the time.

I just hope that goals don't always becoming bangers and you can score from sweet setups.

Well I'm mainly going to be playing it online, I loved how you could use your created character in online team games. It was pretty epic. It was hard playing with random people though, as most of them always wanted the puck and didn't believe in team work. But the mechanics of the game are simply great IMO. Last years were pretty good too though. I wish they'd put the Winter Classic stadiums in the game though 🙁

hockey? can't got into it. in fact the last time i really got into great hockey games were "ice hockey" and "blades of steel" for the nes. i've tried most others but i never had as much fun.

Fair enough, sports games aren't for everyone just like every other genre of game.

Yeah, and no one knew how to work the point in that game 😂 Seems like the D was always wide open on OTP

It's frustrating as hell at times lol.

That's why a friend and I are looking for people who are actually good. It'd be awesome to get a team together and play in a league.

Just picked up the game for the 360, been toying around a bit. So far so good.

I got it for PS3. I love it so far. The new mode they put in it is pretty wicked shit so far. I really like the card idea. I'm not a huge fan though on how they changed the pad stats and boosts for your created guy.

I got the special Bauer pad set for pre ordering the game at Gamestop, but I have no idea which ones are even hte special pads lol

Fun game.

Again, hard for me to score in this game, like always when I first start playing NHL. But, I found an easy way to score, and it works 50 percent of the time and its a one timer (surprise) but only in a certain situation.

I got drafted to the Penguins in Be A Pro mode. -.-. I hate the Penguins /sigh. I love the game so far though. @ Jinxed. Damn you. Nobody has PS3 🙁

I still think it's inexcusable that there is a fee to play online. What a fracking cheat...,Ten dollars to play online. Even though i bought the game and got a free code to play online i almost didn't buy the game because of that fact. This is definitely going to be the last NHL game i buy because of that.

What are you talking about bro? I play for free online with that code that's on the back of the booklet. How do you not?

If you bought the game, you get online. If you buy it used, you don't get free online.

I think game companies should be allowed to do anything they want to stop game sellers from profiting on the used game market. Why not? You still get free online if you buy it.

Indeed. I don't have a problem with this. You can't blame EA for trying to make money off of people buying their game, which they don't if a person buys it used.
