STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- The Council of Taneshla

"Rand..." Rianna whispers, instinctively taking a step back. She'd been trying to avoid him also, but it seems that she's just been walking right into his hands, and she is both very angry and very afraid right now. "If you come from Rand, then you should know that I want nothing to do with him."

So, what do her Senses tell her right now? 😛

"Suit yourself," Gallador says. "I-"

There is a ping! as Graf fires off her rifle, sending a laser straight through the throne. It breaks the comm unit installed in it and Gallador blinks out.

The cold sensation stops.

Rianna shivers a bit as the cold feeling suddenly vanishes.

"Thank you..." she says quietly to Graf, before turning to Tanic.

"Look, I don't know who you are, or how you got involved in this. But this was a trap. We need to leave, now. And you'd better prove, very quickly, that you didn't know what was going to happen here."

Intimidation, please, and she's going to Sense to see if he's lying or not when he responds.

"I can promise you that. I knew that guy as my employer and that's it. Who is Master Rand?"

Tanic and Graf are making to leave the cavern as you talk.

Rianna will go with them - she has no desire to stay here, not knowing that Rand knows where she is.

"You know now that I used to be a Jedi. Rand was a Jedi Master that fell to the Dark Side. He is...determined to make me fall as well. I don't know why he's fixated on me," she says. She pauses for a moment.

"Did you hear about what happened on Ord Coridari a few months ago? He was behind that. He nearly killed me there..."

"Holy crap," Tanic says. "The eruption? How did he pull THAT off?"

Tanic explains that he too is a former Jedi Knight. He does not elaborate.

"He found some ancient device and had wanted to use it on Coruscant, to cause the Manarai Mountains to erupt...I tried to stop him..." she replies.

"Yeesh, better some backwater military outpost than the Galactic Capital, right?" Tanic says.

Rianna just shakes her head slowly; she's been trying to convince herself of that ever since it happened but still feels that it was her fault that anyone died.

"Anyway. They know we're here. I won't feel safe until we're far away from Vanquo."

"Where will you?" Tanic asks.

"I don't know. Nowhere I've done any work with or for you, or that we've met, that's for certain. Nowhere that Rand knows we've been."

"You're just going to run from him?" Tanic asks, frowning.

"I can't face him," Rianna replies. "I tried before. And I lost badly."

"So?" Tanic says. "You can't just keep running! You've got to get back at him! He's a murderer and a manipulator."

"Don't you think I know that? I know very well what he is and what he's capable of!" Rianna snaps back. "However, I am not so eager to run into a confrontation that I know will end poorly and not in my favor. Nor yours. I don't know this Gallador, but I do know that Rand has at least one other student."

"Every time you've faced him, was it on his terms or yours?" Graf interrupts, not looking back.

"His..." Rianna says bitterly. "After having everything around manipulated by him..."

"Then you need to turn the tables," Graf says. "He has taught you that keeping the battlefield strictly in your control is beneficial and assures victory. I did that today."

Rianna shakes her head, but she's obviously outnumbered here.

"Well, then, if anyone has any ideas how to find him..." she says, before asking Tanic, "And why is he interested in you? Any ideas?"

Tanic reflects for a moment.

"I have an idea but I'd rather not say," Tanic says. "In any case, I at least want to wreck this Gallador guy. I don't like being duped, and I don't like people like him. Reminded me of... someone else I've fought. And I've got a means of finding him."

"I will not join your crusade," Graf says. "Jedi business is too much for me."
