God wants to be loved (which is synonymous with worshipped) for the same reasons you do. We've been given a thousand gifts easy on this rarity of a planet and who can we thank for it? God didn't make humans aware of him and rulers of earth by accident so he wants fellowship and sincere appreciation for what he's done for his children...same as any human parent. Show a lack of appreciation for a gift your parents give you and it will usually be taken away, especially if it WAS really good and you just hadn't realized how much you'd really like it cause you were too busy being ungrateful. God's not keen on being taken for granted either.

Religous zealots are usually hypocrites that quite often run more people away from a life that includes giving god praise for all that he's done for us. Avoid humans that judge others and seek God and you WILL become joyful! Give thanks for your pint if it's not bad to you personally. Someone else can give thanks for AA! 😮‍💨
