We don't know specifics, just that somehow around the time of Amazon's Attack, she captured the Greek Gods by turning off their powers.

Granny wins only via her use of (already mentioned) devices/technology that allowed her to gank the Olympians and impersonate Athena (that last bit got DC *quite a bit* of emails concerning how Diana, so intimately linked to Athena *and* blessed with the ability to see through deceptions, did not at least sense that the "Athena" before her was not her goddess, even if she didn't perceive her as Granny... but anywho...)
