i'm just giving examples not that saying we need to change it fully..

i was just saying example:

we have agility and reflex and whatnot in the character page but nor in title main page.

you know what i mean?

now look at how the destructive capacity, dynamic force and static all overall lap and do you think the average person is going to be oh yeah, that makes sense the title and what is inside the page compliment each other.

its all a head scratcher.

We should also put the forum's tier list and define it more properly if possible, at least give some bases to describe how it works and what it means.

I know but we also can't put specific things for everyone. We have to have some kind but system but yes it does need to be at least partially redone.

I totally agree with this.

PAY ATTENTION TO THIS!!!!: From now on whenever you make a character and add them to the list put them in alphabetical order like they are in the link section. I just spent the last 20min putting everyone in alphabetical order in their letter section. We don't want people looking at the end S's for superman and hes at the top.Its just easier access.

have ppl given up?

seems like very few have bn trying to help..

mostly me, BBZ and Bentley have bn doin our share.

i even bn randomly opening new Character page so it can be filled and no one bothers.

No, I just have a lot of schoolwork at the moment. I might put in something later.

It would be nice if there would be more people on, especially from the gaming, movie and anime/manga sections to expand those as well.

It's not quite finished, but here's something I've been working on if it helps and people agree with how I see the tiers...

http://i498.photobucket.com/albums/rr347/darthgoober/tiers.jpg

Please note, the examples given are actually for the LOWER end of the tier it's listed in. Also I know some of the descriptions might sound wierd, so feel free to ask for clarification on anything that's not clear.

I think the image is right on the spot about how the tiers thread could be described, there are probably feats that could describe every category so tiers are done with the combination of abilities -something around herald speed, herald energy output, herald durability; and so on-. Some basic descriptions of each stage and then we add a compound of abilities surrounded versatility (such as mind-control, matter manipulation, slowing down time, precognition, etc.). And we could probably add to the main table something describing the overall tier level (the table itself is descriptive of the level corresponding what the tier is, but since it leaves more open ended abilities such as magic and telepathy, the overall description of its tier could be useful). I don't know what you people think about it.

I've been working on Ultron respect thread at this time and that's why I slowed my uploads, but I should be done by this week.

Well I tried to set it up to cover anything, most of the exotic stuff can normally be judged by the "Area/Range of Personal Power" category. A telepath who could scan/control a Metropolis like New York would qualify as a High Meta since his personal power can cover a Metro-Wide Area, as would one who could only do it to one or two characters at a time but was powerful enough to do it to someone on another planet. Pretty much every offensive power I could think of fits into one category or another(and defensive powers aren't really used for judging tiers directly anyway), though I guess a "Versatility" category might help narrow things down a bit more...

The reason the temples were brought up was to avoid poorly descriptive generalizations such has "herald level". Not only is it more difficult to relate to, but it's also rather tough to fit in certain characters. You could integrate some of your conclusions into the readily established system but don't add it as separate content.

Oh you don't have to add it at all if you don't want, I was just throwing it out there because of what Bently said.

Yeah, it's all Bentley's fault.

The Tier messure can be misleading, but warrants use, if people found it useless then they wouldn't be doing a Non-comic tier thread as we speak. We've already noticed that the table itself cannot be accounted for things such as matter transmutation, luckbased powers or magical abilities; as such, it's going to be a misleading title too, but one that is not even aknowledged by a majority of posters.

My idea would be to put as much information as possible in the page and develop in arguments why a character is considered in a certain tiers and discuss its feats. I think planet-buster is more descriptive than low-herald energy output, but that doesn't mean the concept "low herald" is devoid of sense -we can consider how it works when it comes to tourneys, which are likely to take the site as a reference as it solidifies.

This for both.

I'm honestly curious why you have to join just to view the stuff that has been put up... Most Wiki pages are open to the general public I thought.

I could watch the stuff without joining.

hmmmm where did you go?

Nowhere people posted the links of their work here I clicked and everything showed up without anything. *I'll check again*

All the links are still working, what makes me suspicious is that it's a .com and not .org site usually all wiki sites are .org and just for info while .com almost always has financially interests.

so your saying we are being unwittedly used? 😕 😠 ❌

I've started a calculation section (see the left bar).

Yes, site hits will bring in money through adds. That's why it's free.

Sure we could start paying 20 bucks a month for a domain and the extra money required for the copy right and so forth, but why bother when we are offered all that in exchange for creating an active site?

The site isn't going anywhere, keep on expanding.
