Read the post preceding it. Ush was worried there was still a problem because there was still idle chat going on. And I responded therefore that unless that idle chat only happened in THIS thread it would be solved, because it wouldn't happen anywhere else. Sounds fine to me.

There should be a thread or forum just for random chats. Off topic chats should be allowed to an extent.

an offtopic thread would be pointless...everyone would just ..not post anything, or just do it for the 'increase postcount' view of it.
BUT...we have plenty of on-topic threads for us to make off-topic.

You can open threads about any topic you like unless related to existing forums. Idle chat goed in the bar, currently named the Underwater Tavern. You're welcome to go there, have a drink and chat with other forum members about anything and even nonsense-like.
