Sounds way to similar to power copying IMO. If we allow him the third round's likely to feature a rush to draft other neutered copiers...

From the research I've done since he was picked, Ive noticed he has never 'replicated' a suit of armor. I'd seriously doubt he would be able to do so. But guns of various types (the Flash Rouges) and some magical wands (also Flash Rouges) are fair game.

Besides that, every time he "replicates" a weapon, he destroys it in the process. So whoever gets him would be a weapon short for the original weapon holder.

I'd attribute it more to one person giving up their weapon for another one to hold than adding two of the same character.

Ah well if it's a transference thing that could be a little different depending on how Kandy see's it. Of course it still seems like allowing him opens the doors for people like Rogue...

My biggest problem here is the possibility of someone creating a mega-weapon in prep (like Digi in evangel's tourney, iirc), and then him duplicating it to be way over the caps.

Whats the difference between that and them just making a mega weapon in prep and then using it?

lawl at me being used as an example. I've never seen this guy in action, but something tells me he wouldn't be able to replicate Ultimate Reed's Galactus-busting dimension cannon (seriously, how did goober win that match again?). If all he's copied are rogues weapons, there would be no evidence for such a vast feat.

By having an army teleport over your head and bombard you. You have to have the gun pointed AT the opposition for it to be effective... duh 😛 .

Eh, if that's people's opinions then I don't really see any issue with him.

Vulcan is banned, the person is selecting a new draft.

Replicant was withdrawn. New draft: Nero, from "Star Trek".

any bio?

Bah, we were in an indestructible dome. The whole thing would've been engulfed in Galactus-busting energy, regardless of where it was pointed. I think my story revolved around having superior energy absorption (Thor) and energy reconfiguration (The Doctor).

But we shouldn't continue this obvious travesty of judgment here. It's better left to history to record as our greatest failure.

😛

Also, Nero. As in, baseline human for the most part, unless I'm confused with another character. What's his standard equipment? I smell a loophole.

A big ass ship that can bust planets given enough time and was able to wtfpwn 23rd century spaceships with missiles.

Apparently the ship is partially constructed from reverse engineered Borg tech.

Whoever drafted him is cooking something up. mhmm

He gets his ship.

He gets his ship.

its shields are well above the durability limits, I'll post scans if need be, but it took a full on assault from 20-40 klingon warships without its shields going down

it also destroyed these ships with a single blast each

so ya, 47 Klingon ships that were waiting for Nero, takes them all out with no difficulty, on panel says shields are still at 100% after taking a full assault from, again, 47 Klingon warships.

Then there is the issue of red matter, of which Nero's ship has a huge supply, the small dot of it in this scan is enough to destroy an entire planet.

and this scan shows how much nero has on his ship:

Yeah his ship is probably Mid Herald. IIRC in the tiers thread it was agreed that the Enterprise from TNG was Low Herald.

And one or two Klingon Warbirds can give the Enterprise a serious scrap. 47 would utterly curbstomp it.

Of course given how advanced Nero's ship was relative to the Klingon Warbirds its somewhat to be expected. It's like if 47 Napoleonic era ships of the line attacked a WWII Era battleship.

IIRC Magneto's shields have never been broken either. Marvel superpeople are pretty crazy themselves.

I mean, unless there was some plausible (extremely plausible) way for him to bring his entire ship into the battle (being that I assume its a prep site?), I don't see a problem.

And even then, there are ways around it. At least I see them 😬

edit: As for Red Matter, well that would be the dumbest move of all considering it would affect them as well. I mean, wasnt that how Nero died in the movie?? 😕

doesn't that disqualify Magneto then?

Like, I have been assuming I couldn't choose classic juggs, because he can't be hurt

the other issue would be, there are low showings for magneto. The ship has 2 battles, both go essentially the same, Nero in fact is the weak link, his idiot tactics being the only way people can PIS through his shield

Kandy has said nero comes with his ship

there are many ways to beat man-thing, or deadpool, however, their regeneration abilities would disqualify them from this tournament

I'm fairly sure I could get both of my character onto the ship, one would have his way with Nero so badly, and from a far range.

the movie is irrelevant, and there are certainly plausible ways to use red matter. For instance, one doesn't need an entire planet destroying quantity, which then opens up retarded arguments of "no, X amount of red matter would be banned, but X-1 amounts are ok, that was only X-1, etc..."

I would have no objections to the ship being prep-only, if people thought that would be fair.
