Cyclops didn't hurt Hulk. I've been talking about how it's actually a piss poor feat for him that's a whole load of PIS and CIS ever since the comic came out. It's pure concussive force and he can't even knock Hulk backwards? It's bullshit. He still has his f*cking visor on too.

Cyclops' best feats of power are:

Overcharging Bishop in the woefully written X-Men: Civil War.
Blasting open a crack in Onslaught's armour.
The aforementioned "Off My Lawn" blast.
Blasting the giant bug in Astonishing.

Superman's are things like:

Melting Major Force.
Smashing through Darkseid's army/forcefields during Final Crisis.
Powering engines that could move a planet.
Putting down Despero.
Actually making the Black Rock afraid of him.

etc etc etc.

I hate when people put Cyclops in threads he can't win. I thought I'd done enough on KMC to actually do away with that shit.

Superman is far more destructive. That's not even opinion, it's fact based on appearences and feats.

The problem with Cyclops is that while his actual blasts have an infinite power source, the gateways in his eyes don't. He can succumb to fatigue and the like.

Superman has days of reserves as standard, and even if he didn't, his absorbtion of ambient energy is more effecive.

* since it was later revealed that Cyclops' power originates from a non-Einsteinian universe, so i guess Superman would run out of power first... it is also stated that without the charging of yellow solar energy, Superman's strength seems to be on par for a human of his height and weight who engages in regular physical activity... although i also think that Superman's energy reserves would last a very long time if not thoroughly exhausted...

* Superman... his Heat Vision is clearly several levels above Cyclops' Optic Blasts... although OB is really powerful and damaging, HV is on a cosmic level...

the latter. the gateways in his eyes depend on his ability to absorb ambient energy and his own energy levels. when you get tired your eyes get heavy, etc.
