It's in DS's respect thread. In that comic Raker actually did better against DS with a Parademon rifle+bayonet and the shovel than he had with his GL Ring in their first encounter.

You gotta love how DS felt the need to arm everybody with yellow weapons equipment. I wonder how the war would have gone if he didn't know that particular fact.

It wouldn't be nearly as an outright slaughter as it was. That's just smart tactics, not sure why you seem to be criticizing it.

hmm.. without the yellow exploitation imo i see the Lanterns over run their defenses and DS would be fending off not jus Raker but a Battalion of GL's in a futile downward spiral

Lulz....Darkseid didn't even really tap into the resources he had. He constantly battles New Genesis who are far above the newly created Green Lantern Corps there. Most were rookies.

Errr? No. They have had world wars, but became localized due to the recent truce.

That truce is fairly recent, so you think Darkseid of all people would get rid of his resources? Lulz. He has tech that was wrecking the entire universe as he was directly attacking the source. He has weapons that can destroy planets in seconds, he can makes avatars on par with Takion, Darkseid attuned his heartbeat with the rhythm of the sun so if his heart stops it will cause a super nova destroying Earth, Darkseid has control over Gerdirath a Promethean Giant whose size dwarfs the Earth, etc.

The Guardians stopped Raker from smiting DS with it because they knew that they and everyone else in the Universe would have been killed in the resultant blast wave.

Them managing to stop it by combined effort is probably their greatest feat and smacks of PIS for the shovel not breaking through their shield.

yeh, now. a lot of the stuff he did is after the time the forgotten story arc had taken place.

the GL had just bn recently formed.

safe to say the feats DS has now after the battle had taken place wouldnt apply for them anymore then a modern GL feat of today would apply to the GL retro actively.

i am aware of DS tech and power just dont see it as being used or having it for when that battle took place.

Yeah and? that was tech he had before. Even one of his hellspores can make a planet into a firepit. You think most of the Nw God tech was developed only recently? Hmmm....

Into an army, there were Green Lanterns before.

Considering we only saw the true Darkseid in Final Crisis, it would be a stomp.

I don't think you do, because if DS used half of his tech he would do serious serious damage

mostly to his own planet with the Spores.
again your are applyin retro active feats to a time when he didnt show said abilities..

some of the New god tech would be standard when the fight took place due to us knowing when it was made and build but other tech that just recently appeared in current history shouldnt be viewed as an option in said fight.

the True form of DS is BS.. regardless though when the fight took place there was no true form of darkseid, again shouldnt apply new retcons of the character to an old story.

DS in the Raker Story would have gotten stomped by a couple or a few GL's at that time and point in history whether you wanna argue it as an avatar is fine but it still would have happen.
