Marvel teams up with ESPN for NBA season preview...

I'm a big hoops fan so this got me amped when I saw it. (Sorry if old) It kicks off with my boy Kobe holding the infinity gauntlet which represents his 5 championship rings. He's raising his hand to grab a sixth, but is opposed by Lebron James, Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, the Hulk and various other Marvel characters!

I love the concept. I wonder what other cross promotional concepts would work with comics?

Anything that promotes comics and brings awareness to the mainstream masses is good in my mind...

but I'd rather bore into my brain with a rusty power tool than watch a Basketball game or read about athletes. Some of the covers made me smile even though I don't get how the all the players relate to the cover concepts 🙁

I'm a knicks fan, and found prokhorov being analogous to Galactus particularly irritating. i mean the nets were the worst team in the league last year.
