ares wouldn't be able to hit him, and drac's tp has f'd ss. his bite would certainly work on ares. he's also proven strong enough to catch colossus's fist easily. he stalemated thor in terms of weather control. thor was smart and turned him to mist with a throw then hit him with a bolt of lightning. that was the difference. he was certainly in thor's league after drinking sif's blood. he's also given strange utter hell.
drac is pretty underrated. he'd win this fight.

He's got a pet hydra in storage. If he pulled what he did on herc with the Hydra blood bullets, I wonder how that would affect Drac (most potent poison known to Olympians. The first time it happened to Herc was when his wife put a shirt soaked in it on his chest while he was sleeping. The only way he could get rid of the maddening pain was by throwing himself on a fire - and dying). When Ares did it he went totally insane with rage.

Oeming wrote a great mini. Bendis undid some of the work because Bendis is Bendis, but the character still got development.
I like the blood thirsty Anti-Hero. He should come back and with a slight upgrade. A Wolverine level healing factor with Wonder Woman level stats are a good combination.

I like the blood thirsty Anti-Hero. He should come back with an upgrade. A Wolverine level healing factor with Wonder Woman's stats would make for a nice little upgrade. He shouldn't be too hard to hurt. Blood and gore are a large part of his character.
He'll never be as cool as DC Ares, all calm, calculated and just oozing awesomeness, so if you plan on making him look like a berserker retard, at least give 'em some crazy good strength/regen/something.
Did have a sweet fight with Herc though.

Meh, I don't want a purely calm calculating Ares. The version in Oeming's mini was perfect. He was basically an unstoppable maniac in combat. Impossible to kill due to his healing factor, nearly as strong as Hercules from what I can gather, and better at killing than everybody in the history of ever. But when he needed to, he could sit down and make a strategy due to being a military genius. He also had an actual personality. That's what surprised me the most and made me interested.
