That may indeed be so, MR. But we'll never know until the film comes out (unless of course you've seen a shooting script!).

My point is more a credits/financial one, which in Hollywood amounts to the same thing - especially in this case, as the film has enormous B.O. and even franchise potential. If the creators of the comic and/or the film had access to the earlier material from the Facebook script and "Wayout West", then that needs to be acknowledged, and those original creators compensated.

I'll leave quality considerations to the critics and the marketplace.

Changing the graphic novel: agreed. But I thought both previous sources superior.

An excellent plan. I'd also recommend you read the script currently on Facebook (hey why not, it's free) and "Wayout West", which I found on Amazon.
