For all the speculation and excuses, the fact is Fraction and Bru had Fatty completely steamroll Danny. They left a "I wasn't holding back. Was I?" question, but never followed up with it. And the following writer had a future cyborg Fat Cobra defeat a young noob Iron Fist, so his record against them is pretty solid.
In both instances, he was outright tanking charged Iron Fist's. Treated them like slaps. Looking at what a charged punch does to Cage or Black Panther's vibranium suit, that implies an insane degree of toughness.
And speed wise, he should be just as capable. He caught Danny flatfooted with a punch to the face, where he's block/dodge the likes of Elektra or Shang Chi.
Personally, I think Fat Cobra would STILL beat Danny. Even today.
And he destroys Creed, imo.
